New Client Info
At The Groomery, grooming is more than a one-time service — it’s a relationship built on trust, comfort, and consistency. Our approach is built on consistency, communication, and compassionate care. The information below will walk you through our process and help set clear expectations when working together
To get started :
1. Fill out the inquiry form
Start by submitting our new client inquiry form. This helps us learn more about your dog and determine if we are the right fit before scheduling.
Please include any information you think we should know about your pet! After all, nobody knows them better than you do.
2. Complete the membership application and service agreement
This gives us more information about your dog, confirms required vaccines, and helps ensure expectations are clear so your pet receives the best possible care.
3. Secure your appointment with a deposit
Your deposit reserves your appointment time and helps keep our cancellation policy fair for all clients.
4. Your dog’s first visit
At drop off, we will meet your dog, review grooming details, and work at a pace that prioritizes comfort and safety.
5. Set up a recurring schedule
Consistent grooming every 8 weeks or less keeps your dog comfortable and their coat well maintained. We are happy to help you set up a recurring schedule at your first visit.
Frequently Asked Questions

We require proof of up-to-date Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella and be on a flea & tick preventative. All vaccines must be administered by a vet.

I work in a home studio, so my address will be shared once an appointment is confirmed.

It’s best to start grooming your puppy around 3 to 4 months old. The earlier we start, the easier it is to help them feel safe and confident in the grooming process.
For the first few months, I recommend bringing your puppy in weekly or every other week for a bath and tidy. These early visits are all about positive experiences. We’ll work on getting them used to being handled, hearing the dryer, standing on the table, and learning that grooming can actually be fun!
Starting early builds trust, reduces fear, and sets the stage for a lifetime of stress-free grooming.

To respect everyone’s time and ensure smooth scheduling, please keep the following in mind:
Cancellations or reschedules require at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full cost of your appointment
No-shows and same-day cancellations will be charged in full
If you’re running late, there’s a 10 minute grace period
After that, a $1 per minute late fee applies
At 20 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and charged in full
I only groom one dog at a time, so missed or delayed appointments directly affect my ability to serve other clients. Thank you for understanding and respecting this policy.

Grooming times can vary depending on your dog’s coat type, behavior, and how much maintenance is needed. Here’s a general guide:
Full groom: 2–4 hours
Bath and tidy: 2-3 hours
Short-coated bath (no haircut): 1–3 hours
Because I work one-on-one, I take my time to ensure your dog is comfortable and looking their best. Working with animals isn’t always predictable, so timing can shift.
You’ll get a text about 30 minutes before pickup so you have time to head over.
-
Grooming is customized care, not a one-size-fits-all service. Coat type, condition, behavior, and grooming frequency all affect the time required. Especially with mixed breeds, it’s impossible to accurately assess these factors without a hands-on evaluation.
I’m always happy to provide a general estimate, but final pricing is confirmed once your dog has been assessed.
