New Client Info

A happy dog with a black, white, and gray coat, wearing a colorful bow, lying on a grooming table at a pet grooming salon.

At The Groomery, grooming is more than a one-time service — it’s a relationship built on trust, comfort, and consistency. Because I work one-on-one with each pet, space is limited and reserved for clients who value regular, ongoing care as part of their dog’s overall wellness.

How It Works :

Submitting this form begins the process of joining The Groomery’s Membership Waitlist. This does not guarantee an appointment, but it ensures you’ll be contacted when new client spaces become available.

When openings occur, priority is given to pet parents committed to maintaining a consistent grooming schedule of 8 weeks or less. This approach supports:

  • Your dog’s comfort and confidence in the grooming process

  • Healthier skin and coat maintenance

  • Predictable scheduling and preferred appointment times

  • A long-term relationship built on familiarity and trust

Once a suitable opening is available, you’ll receive an invitation to complete enrollment and schedule your first appointment.

What to Expect

  1. Complete the intake form in full.

  2. Your submission will be reviewed, and you’ll be added to the Membership Waitlist.

  3. When a spot opens that fits your pet’s needs and your availability, I’ll contact you directly with next steps to join the schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We require proof of up-to-date rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella (kennel cough).

  • I work in a home studio, so my address will be shared once an appointment is confirmed.

  • It’s best to start grooming your puppy around 3 to 4 months old. The earlier we start, the easier it is to help them feel safe and confident in the grooming process.

For the first few months, I recommend bringing your puppy in weekly or every other week for a bath and tidy. These early visits are all about positive experiences. We’ll work on getting them used to being handled, hearing the dryer, standing on the table, and learning that grooming can actually be fun!

Starting early builds trust, reduces fear, and sets the stage for a lifetime of stress-free grooming.

  • To respect everyone’s time and ensure smooth scheduling, please keep the following in mind:

    • Cancellations or reschedules require at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full cost of your appointment

    • No-shows and same-day cancellations will be charged in full

    • If you’re running late, there’s a 10 minute grace period

      • After that, a $1 per minute late fee applies

      • At 20 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and charged in full

I only groom one dog at a time, so missed or delayed appointments directly affect my ability to serve other clients. Thank you for understanding and respecting this policy.

  • Grooming times can vary depending on your dog’s coat type, behavior, and how much maintenance is needed. Here’s a general guide:

    • Full groom: 2–4 hours

    • Bath and tidy: 2-3 hours

    • Short-coated bath (no haircut): 1–3 hours

Because I work one-on-one, I take my time to ensure your dog is comfortable and looking their best. Working with animals isn’t always predictable, so timing can shift, but I’ll always keep you updated!

You’ll get a text about 30 minutes before pickup so you have time to head over.
